Rayelene is back and better than ever!! It seems that after years after her official retirement Raylene decided to make a small comeback and make at least 1 new movie for her fans. She will begin shooting this new film in May 2009 and if all goes well she might make more than one movie. AVN Newsreported that on April 29, 2009 Rayelne made a hardcore comeback and will began shooting for Vivid. The full story from AVN is below .... The internet pornosphere lit up like a San Fernando Valley wildfire this morning with chatter that former Vivid Girl Raylene was on the verge of making a hardcore comeback.
Well AVN promptly got a hold of the 2008 inductee into our Hall of Fame, and she confirmed that yes, she is scheduled to shoot for Vivid in two weeks, under the direction of B. Skow marking her first appearance in front of the camera in eight years. "I'm doing one comeback movie for Vivid so far, we're going to see how it works out, and we'll go from there," Raylene told AVN. "I met with Steven [Hirsch, Vivid Entertainment co-chairman] last week. I sent him an e-mail, and he said he'd be willing to sit down and talk to me, so we met, had a great conversation, and yeah, we're going to try one. So it was just really recent that I decided this."
Raylene makes no attempt to deny that at least part of her motivation for this return lies in the effects she's seen from the crippled housing market, having made a successful career for herself as a Porn Valley real estate agent since parting ways with the industry in '01. "Times are tough and I have to do what I have to do," she said. "I'm excited in some ways, and in other ways I'm kind of scared, because I'm a mother and I have a husband who I love very much.
"My husband and I are pretty open, we have kind of a weird, freaky relationship," she went on. "It actually is, in a way, a little bit sexually motivated because I think that it'll open up our little sexual world a little bit. I'm just going to give it a try, see what happens." Though her final decision to make this move may have only come within the last week, Raylene said, "I've been kicking the idea around for a little over a year. I met with a company last year, and for me, it just wasn't the right timing, I didn't feel like I could actually perform. For a long time I haven't really had an interest in getting back in the business I worked really hard with my real estate career but things are different now. If things work out with this movie, I'm kind of looking at like a two-year plan."
Raylene said she's at once eager and nervous to see how things have changed since she hung up her performing hat. "I heard the industry has changed dramatically since I've been in it, so I don't know what to expect," she said. "But I know that I'm in good hands over at Vivid, and I'm working for people that I'm familiar with, so that's comforting." She did admit that, "I have a little bit of body image issues, even though I know that I look good Steve wouldn't hire me if I didn't but you know, I've had a baby. But I think that it'll work out and I'll probably be able to snap back into it pretty easy once I get on set."
Still Raylene said, "I'm in a different head space than I was when I was in the business before. I don't use drugs, I have a family to come home to every night, so I think that my goals are way different than they were. I'm not interested in doing it just to party and have fun. Of course, I'll have fun on set, why wouldn't I? It is sex, for goodness sake." Perhaps the most surprising thing to Raylene surrounding this announcement is the instant spark of near rabid excitement it set off among industry observers. "It's kind of funny to me," she said. "I didn't know I still had fans! I stayed out of the light for so long, I didn't know that anybody cared."
